Lapas

Grilled limpets are a typical food of the islands of the Azores and Madeira, consisting of seasoned limpets, grilled on the shell itself. They are normally consumed as a starter. Its preparation is carried out on a grill, where the limpets are presented when the dish is served still hot. In the Azores, the red capsicum paste, garlic and butter are the main elements of the seasoning.
